Spa location

This beautiful spa town, founded in 1793, is located in West Bohemia. The spa has preserved the unique atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century, reflected in the neo-classicism era. Thanks to this, the town is fairly regarded as one of the most romantic corners of the country. The spa resort is characterized by a mild climate, typical for the foothills, and exceptionally clean air far from the noise and rush of big cities. The surrounding parks are a suitable place for a peaceful walk with background music coming from the colonnades. All this is amplified by the beneficial effects of the mineral springs that attract many tourists wishing to improve their health.

Carbonic mineral water, natural resource of dry carbon dioxide, local resource of peloids (sulphur-ferric mud).

Adults + teenagers: circulatory system diseases, digestive system diseases, endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, neurological diseases, musculoskeletal system diseases, skin diseases, and gynaecological diseases.

Fitness facilities, tanning salons, Aquaforum - World of Water and Relaxation, golf and miniature golf courses, tennis courts, bike rentals, Nordic walking, petanque, and a football stadium. There is also a theatre, museum, gallery, library, dancing cafés, casino, and public internet. Those who love fishing may “cast the fishing line” in specific places in the vicinity of the town.

Komorní hůrka: The youngest volcano in the Czech Republic from the Quaternary period, situated 2 km from the town, has been explored continuously by scientists for more than 200 years, including by J. W. Goethe. There is also a nature trail equipped with information panels.
Soos – National Nature Reserve: A European rarity. This circular nature trail with information panels allows visitors to observe mud volcanoes, mineral springs and interesting vegetation, as well as to see a museum exposition of a Jurassic Park and A Bird´s World.
Seeberg Castle: Originally a Romanesque medieval fortress, later rebuilt into a Renaissance country seat. After a long-standing devastation the castle was restored and today visitors can enjoy a collection of furniture from the 19th century, an exposition of the history of Cheb’s country life at the beginning of the 19th century and exhibits of Czech china.
Cheb: One of the oldest, most significant and most construction-valuable towns in Bohemia. A Romanesque castle with a Black Tower and a castle chapel, a historic square with mainly Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings and the unique “Špalíček” are counted among the leading sights in this town.
Bismark Observation Post: Restored stone observation post at Zelená Hora near Cheb.
