Therapeutic stays

Czech spas have more than 600 years of tradition. Mineral springs, healing mud and pure countryside create a unique environment where every visitor can relax, recharge their batteries and take care of their health.

Therapeutic stays

Like any other treatment process, spa treatment has its own rules. A therapeutic stay, which usually lasts three to four weeks, goes through several phases:

  1. Upon arrival, there is an adaptation phase, which can last approximately one week (depending on the patient's health) and is often characterised by a slight worsening of health problems and fatigue. However, this is not unusual.
  2. From around the second week, the patient's health begins to improve.
  3. The third week, and in some cases the fourth week, is a phase for stabilisation and improvement in health.

Treatment programme

Upon arrival at a spa, each patient undergoes an initial examination by a spa doctor, who, based on the medical report from a general practitioner and specialist, the results of biochemical tests (if necessary) and his/her professional knowledge, draws up an individual treatment plan for spa procedures.

This is followed by the 'timing of procedures', i.e. their scheduling with the exact time and place of their performance, including the determination of follow-up medical examinations. You are naturally entitled to visit the doctor at any time during your stay, even outside the scheduled time, and consult with him/her about your current state of health or the course of spa treatment.

After that, your stay will proceed as normal. Treatments are provided from Monday to Saturday throughout the day, most often in the morning.

The power of spa springs

Healing mineral springs are at the heart of Czech spa culture. They contain unique combinations of minerals and trace elements that support correct metabolism, strengthen the immune system and help the body regenerate faster. Regular treatment not only relieves health problems, but also has a preventive effect – it strengthens the body and brings an overall feeling of vitality.

Inhalation for healthy lungs

Inhalation therapy using mineral waters helps clear the airways, improves lung capacity and alleviates chronic conditions such as asthma and allergies. Regular treatments strengthen the overall resistance of the respiratory system.

Spa water drinking cure

Natural peloid wraps warm muscles and joints, relieve tension and promote healing. They are ideal for treating rheumatic diseases and chronic musculoskeletal pain.

Mud wraps

Drinking spring mineral water as recommended by your doctor promotes digestion, correct kidney function and overall detoxification of the body. Each spring has a different composition and therefore different effects.

Combining treatment and rest

A spa is not just about the treatments – it is also about the atmosphere and unique environment that is created there. Strolls along the colonnades, enjoying peace in the parks or sitting in a café on the promenade bring moments when time stands still. Cultural events, concerts and local traditions complement the therapeutic programmes and turn a stay into an experience that appeals to all the senses. In a spa town, not only the body, but also the mind regenerates – and it is this combination that gives a stay its true value.

Whether you are coming for health reasons, want to indulge in deep relaxation in a wellness facility or are planning an active holiday with your family, a Czech spa offers tailor-made programmes for all generations. Children and adults alike will find something to suit them – from special medical treatments, to physical activities and therapies, to quiet moments in the parks and cultural experiences. Each stay is carefully designed so that a guest leaves feeling relaxed, energised and with the feeling that they have found a place where the body and mind are truly regenerated.

Each stay therefore not only promotes health and regeneration of the body, but also offers the opportunity to take a break from everyday hustle and bustle, recharge your batteries and discover the beauty of the Czech countryside and Czech culture. The spa atmosphere, historic colonnades and picturesque parks create an environment where treatment, relaxation and experiences are combined, which a guest will take home as a memory of a truly unique stay.
